The TIP Model

The Technology Integration Planning (TIP) Model is described in this blog post. The model looks to use ICT to its full advantage when planning lessons. This blogger identifies that often when schools want to identify which ICTs to use, it comes down to budget rather than identifying the ICT which would most enhance students learning. This chart however will be a reference guide that I will come back to when planning my ICT rich lessons, while on prac. I especially like how ICT is portrayed, in this model as a tool to genuinely enhance the lesson and allows for teacher reflection and change. This I believe is important because it would be easy to say it didn’t work and give up on ICT, rather than identifying which part of the IT or lesson didn’t work so well.
